We’re excited to open early access to GrindNDine. This release is a focused MVP: it brings the essential recipe workflow so you can start collecting, editing and organizing recipes today. It’s intentionally small — we want real usage and feedback to guide what we build next.
Important: this is early access. Expect rough edges and missing features. If you’re logged in, please use the in-app feedback form to report issues or suggestions.
What you can do right now 👨🍳
- Create recipes (title, ingredients, steps, tags)
- Upload a title image for each recipe and see it on recipe cards and the recipe view
- Edit recipes and re-upload images
- Tag recipes and search by title, tag or ingredient
- Browse a clean, mobile-first UI that works well on phones and tablets
These are the core interactions we want to be solid before expanding the product further.
Roadmap highlights — what’s coming next 🚀
We’re already planning the next set of improvements. Top items include:
- Social interactions: comments and ratings so people can discuss and review recipes
- Image gallery: support multiple images per recipe and a gallery view
- Unit conversions: switch between metric and imperial automatically
- Translations: German support (and more locales) so the UI and content can be localized
- Recipe collections / books: create curated lists or catalogs of recipes for meal planning or themed cookbooks
- Advanced sharing: today recipes are either private or public; soon you’ll be able to control exactly who sees a recipe

Short tech note (for the curious 👀)
The frontend uses Next.js, TypeScript with Tailwind CSS & shadcn. The backend is a Express service where authentication and image storage usees Firebase. This stack keeps the developer experience fast and lets us iterate quickly.
